Stripes, one of the strongest trends for……….

the 2016 spring-summer
Now not only the most classic sailor motif, blue and white or black and whitem that remains a must, but so many different variations.

The fifties were the glorification of stripes. In the period of 1958, the Navy made of the vest of Breton sailors, a uniform, 21 lines to symbolize each victory of Napoleon.
In the nineties however Jean Paul Gaultier joined stripes and polka dots creating unconventional combinations.
The colored lines instead have South American origin, from baiadera, dancers who danced with suits crossed by multicolor stripes.
The great Brazilian singer Carmen Miranda, that adored and who liked to mix them with fantasies with bananas, cherries or flowers, inspired Salvatore Ferragamo in making colored platform suede sandals embossed lines of different colors and with the upper part of the sandal gold.
Later the stripes were “deck” as it calls reproduced the fabric of beach-chairs, and in ’68 Missoni launched a knit dress worked baiadera which was photographed from every newspaper in the world, Missoni is the world of color and lines for excellence and become a unique style.
Even Dior haute couture in 1967 introduced a long dress with cross lines, the hippie movement then later was of great help in the expansion of lines, technicolor, as an element of rupture against the pre-established fashion and etiquette.
Only a small part of the long story of the stripes, that we never get tired and that every season there are proposed and are revisited and personally I always like.
I find them so simple, yet fresh.
Just like the dress I’m wearing today, from Ultràchic, white and red, a shirt-dress, but in large part below, I preferred to emphasize the waist with a belt of the same fabric,

Ormai non solo più il classico motivo alla marinara bianco e blu o bianco e nero che comunque rimane un must, ma tante varianti diverse

Gli anni Cinquanta furono il periodo di glorificazione della righe.
Nel 1958 la marina militare fece della maglia dei marinai bretoni, una divisa, 21 righe a simboleggiare ogni vittoria di Napoleone.
Negli anni Novanta invece Jean Paul Gaultier unì righe e pois creando accostamenti non convenzionali.

Le righe colorate invece hanno origini sudamericane, dalle baiadera, ballerine che danzavano con abiti attraversati da righe multicolor.
La grande cantante brasiliana Carmen Miranda, che le adorava e alla quale piaceva mischiarle con fantasie con banane, ciliegie o fiori, ispirò Salvatore Ferragamo nella realizzazione di sandali platform colorati di camoscio a righe in rilievo di diversi colori e con la parte superiore del sandalo in oro.
in seguito le righe vennero chiamate “a sdraio” poiché riproducevano il tessuto delle sdraio da spiaggia, e nel ’68 Missoni lanciò un abito di maglia lavorato a baiadera che fu fotografato da tutti i giornali del mondo, Missoni è il mondo del colore e delle righe per eccellenza e diventerà uno stile unico.
Anche Dior nel 1967 presentò nell’Alta Moda una abito lungo a righe trasversali, il movimento hippy poi in seguito fu di grande aiuto nell’espansione delle righe, in technicolor, come
elemento di rottura contro la moda precostituita e bon ton.
Solo una piccola parte della storia delle righe, che non ci stancano mai e che, ogni stagione ci vengono proposte e vengono rivisitate e personalmente mi piacciono sempre.
Le trovo cosi semplici, ma al tempo stesso fresche.

Proprio come l’abito che indosso oggi, di Ultràchic, bianco e rosso, un vestito chemisier, ma ampio nella parte sotto, io ho preferito sottolineare il punto vita con una cintura dello
stesso tessuto, che ne dite vi piace?
